  1. I've downloaded a film which is perfect in avi format. Then downloaded virtualdub, tmpgenc and vcdeasy. Gone through the step by step instructions to put on vcd, resulting in a jerky picture with sound and lip co-ordination out of sync, and colour terrible but in mpeg1 format. How can I get the same perfect result as my original download onto a cd Ican play on my dvd player.

  2. I guess your avi source was encoded in high bitrate and resolution. If you converted it to VCD, you can't retain original quality with a bitrate of 1150 kb and 352X240 resolution. The proper way to do it is SVCD. If the source is great, the SVCD is also great.
