WinDVR Input disappears while recording

is there any way to view something while recording it in WinDVR. im trying to record my games but i can't see myself playing because the display goes black when i hit record. if i can't view and record at same time, does anyone know a good program that lets me do both (no ChrisTV or BeyonTV they have issues on my comp).

Well its vista ultimate, and things arent so easy.

First you need to explain exactly what it is you try to accomplish and with what.

Example : recording your play from a console or second pc, capture device involved as well.

With this information, you might get the answer's you need.

Many products do allow you to see what is being recorded, ulead video studio, nero record, sony vegas, windows movie maker, windows media encoder, and many more, but vista might prove difficult, unless someone can comment and verify what they have tried and used succesfully under vista, esspecially under your listed version of the os.

What I'm trying to do is use WinDVR 3 to record my console games but when I press record the screen goes black and I can't see myself playing. My card is a Sabrent FM/Tv Tuner and uses the Phillips SAA7130 chip. If I can't do what i want I might just use FRAPS to record.
