  1. Anyone know how to delete a folder?

Seems a stupid question but this Folder is not on the C drive system partition.
It is on another partition (on the same harddrive)
    It just will not delete.
Message error .... this file is being used ......

We have even tried to delete it from dos and also in safe mode.

    Any ideas?

Boot from a linux live cd and delete it that way. I'm sure there are probably other ways to go about it but that is the easiest way I know.

The folder could contain a hidden system file "Thumbs.db" is a typical culprit.

Turn off "Hide protected system operating system files" from Tools > Folder Options > View

Restart Windows Explorer and browse to the folder to see if it reveals any additional files.

Delete those files and you shouls then be able to delete the folder.

    You beat me to it

I also recommend Unlocker when you're trying to unmount a USB drive and you get the "media in use" errror.
