    Is the Logitech 525 remote capable of doing this (for the Sony RDR-HX750):

    While the Harmony remotes are programmable, they are only programmable using the supoprted device list within the Logitech software which pulls the hardware/remote information from a database provided by Logitech. I don't believe they can be programmed without using the Logitech software (though I haven't tried). And I don't believe Logitech has the service remote codes available.

    If you are only borrowing the remote, then it doesn't seem like much hassle to try it and see what happens.
