Convert ISO to h264

Hi all,

I have some DVD files in the .IOX format and found the instructions on combining them via search...thanks for that!

I'd like to convert the resulting ISO to h.264 using ffmpeg...do I need to convert to another format before running it through ffmpeg?

In terms of my background I know my way around computers and am pretty familiar with encoding but the DVD editing/converting/authoring world is new to me.

If you have DVD video files inside that ISO container, you will probably have to extract them first. Then extract the MPEG files from the VOBs.
