The task is to compress into MPEG4 1080i video data on the fly (real time), probably by hardware, to get the lowest possible bitrate. The video material is an almost stationary outdoors scenes, so there is no fear of artifacts caused by movement. However, no artifacts due to compression are allowed.
What are the options, what is the recommendation and what is the lowest bitrate I can expect?
