When I use tmpgenc to convert the DVD2AVI file, does it matter that the sound file is MPA ?
I've done a film using this method (SmartRipper>DVD2AVI>TMPGenc>Nero, burn as VCD) and it plays OK on my PC using WinDVD.
It seems to be synchronised OK
Will the final VCD disc still be OK to use in a stand-alone VCD enabled DVD player ?
Or do I have to convert the sound file to another type. eg: WAV, MP3 ?
Cheers for any guidance.
Chris.

I don't think it matters, simply choose the vcd template and select the mpa file as your audio source and hit "go"...should give you a vcd compliant stream
