As it sounds like you're using Yahoo Mail to send the attachment to your phone, the phone can't tell which machine you're on - the message still comes from Yahoo. Therefore it points to differences in WHAT you're sending that's the real problem. How are these ringtones being generated? Are you using the same program/tool on the old & new machines? As a test, copy a ringtone from the OLD machine to a USB or similar, and use the NEW machine send it to the phone.

I am using the same everything,i have used the same file an still the same thing, you think i should try an make a new email and then try an send it?
-
Another thing to point out is that i have tried from two different computers using windows xp home and they sent fine,so that should change what you think about the phone not recognizin the machine

Try sending the email with the attached audio file to another (non-telephone) email address so you can check if the attachment comes through. In other words eliminate the phone from the scenario.
Edit: Just as a test to determine where/when the attachment gets... detached."Shut up Wesley!" -- Captain Jean-Luc Picard

Just guessing here. Is by chance Norton installed on your new computer?

Are you also using Yahoo (webpage) as the email client or just the service? In other words, are you using the same email client on both PC's? You can, for example, send email through Yahoo using Outlook. My guess, something is obviously different between the two. If not the actual apps used, then the way that they are configured. Also, if you are using an email client (not web based), then the client itself, your firewall (software), or your anti-virus can affect/black attachments.

-Gadgetguy,I'm tryin to send it to a friend right now he will let me know if it will come through once he checks his mail later,or do you think i should send it to another one of MY yahoo emails?
-Darryl I Do not have Norton installed,I'm usin avira antivir Personaledition classic, seems to work pretty good
-Krispy I'm sorry i was confused but this is what i do exactly,I goto www.yahoo.com>click sign in>when i get to the mail box i click "compose"Type my number@vzwpix.com (since im verizon wireless) an attach files>Browse>find the ringtone>it starts attaching, when its done i goto "continue to message"and then send <<<<<All same steps as i do on my old computer and it works,On both old computers,i just am not gonna use them anymore because my new one is better then them, thanks -
Update!i sent him the ringtone it worked on his computer an he sent it to my phone and it worked, then i tried to send the fie to myself again an it did not work
-
So you use the web interface as opposed to a local email client, and you were able to send the ringtone to a regular email address, but when you specify your phone it strips it. That's just weird. (I know, that doesn't help). What browser are you using? Is it the same browser you use on the old computer? Same version, same plugins?

It is real weird,i use firefox 1.5 same as old computer,i don't know about any plug-ins,but i think it's all the same really wish someone here can help me fix this,it's irritating thats it's like soo weird an nooone has had this problem

This won't be helpful, but Firefox is up to version 2.x.
Try forwarding the email that worked to your phone. You could also try sending an email to your friend (again) and also include yourself. Then you will know the exact same email worked/didn't work when sent to separate places.
Is your friend also using Yahoo?Google is your Friend -

Sending the same email to both accounts will help narrow down what is going on.
As to the speed, I haven't noticed any difference myself. Most of the updates (and there have been quite a few since v2.0) have all mostly been security related.Google is your Friend
