  1. hi everybody I was wondering if I could get some input

I currently have a PVR satelite with a bunch of movies which are all around 2hrs10mins to 2hrs30mins.I own a HDD DVD Recorder but it doesn't support DVD+R DL. and I want to buy a second DVD Recorder which supports DVD+R and DVD+R DL.

now my question is would I have any quality loss recording the movies on to my HDD DVD recorder and editing them on the HDD and then recording them with the second DVD Recorder on a Dual layer disc. would there be any Quality loss doing that

thanks to anyone who may be able to help me out

Yes, because you have the analogue transfer in between. If you buy a DL capable recorder with a HDD then you won't have this problem.
