	Either they weren't installed correctly, or they're the wrong version. ffmpegX checks the presence of these essential binaries at launch. If these binaries are not found/wrong version/wrong file size, then the familiar warning comes up. 
 
 a/ Were you logged in as user or as administrator? What is the name of your boot disk? Is ffmpegX located in the root /Applications folder? What is the name of the parent folder of the app?
 
 b/ The correct version is the one mentioned in the self-installer window. For ffmpegX 0.0.9x r2, that is ffmpegXbinaries20060307.zip. Remember to unzip the downloaded file. Locate mencoder for mencoder and mplayer for mplayer in the installer window.
