I have try with Windows Movie Maker but that can only save in some file and size that I dont want to use.

It that any program that is free or cost a little and easy to do, maybe a Trial that I can see if I like the problem

That I try to do is like this

I have a movie clip and a soundclip
I like to add that to one movie and I like to have a timeline so I can easy place that sound that I want it to start.
I like to have a program that I can save to same size that the the original movie if made off.

I have try some but have not find any that I like.
I have try with FreeAvid but that take very long time to import my movie and sound and that did not look so easy to use

Have even try with Adobe premiere Element but that was not too good, it maybe work if I learn some but I like to first see what other problem I can use.

My problem is maybe basic but I have to know what to look after

  2. What file formats are you using (both input and output)? This information will determine what's possible.

Once you're done in WMM, save out as DV AVI, and finally encode to your desired format.

Well, your problem is you want it all wrapped into one app. Somtimes (often) it's better do use a few different tools to achieve your goal, instead of searching high and low for the Holy Grail.

Sony Movie Studio might be the one you've been looking for. It has a timeline and built in MPEG encoder. They have a 30-day trial and if you like it, the price is under $80. I own the bigger brother Vegas 6 and lover it.

I have been using Magix movie edit pro 12 with some great results. It has a trial too. I would suggest that you don't download every trial you get a recommendation on all at the same time because the different codecs can possibly cause issues. I would try each suggestion you get one at a time work with it to try it out then uninstall it and go to the next one. That is what I did so I wouldn't trash my operating system with codecs that interfere with each other and programs etc. I learned the hard way and had to reinstall my OS from scratch.

I was just trying to point out that your demand for high resolution output, is only valid if you have equally high (or higher) resolution input. You usually only rarely come across HD sources that'd need 1024x768 output. A screen capture might well be this high res, so your demand may be sound. OTOH, as you don't know what format Camstudio captures to - It's hard to know what you need as final output.
Another thing to take into account - what is your final audience, and what are they expected to play this back on?

Deskshare VideoEditMagic will do what you want. it has a timeline and will let you save as any file type that you have an installed codec for.

I going to recording my desktop that is 1024x768.
Going to save that in AVI (or MPEG2/4) and later convert to flv file so I and put that in a flash on internet.

I like to have a program that dont change size of the movie.

I going to look at Pinnacle and Magix, they both look nice

I know that Camstudio can save as AVI with no compress

By default Camstudio uses it's own lossless codec. It isn't uncompressed as standard.

Download the lossless codec from the Camstudio home page. The quality is better than Video 1.
