    I finished a video with a menu in encore and didn't notice the black frame around the video until I watched it on my TV. Not sure why this is happening. Any advice on how to fix it.

    the black frame appears in the dvd preview and I've attached a screen shot. Thanks for your help and Merry Christmas.

    I suspect you started with a 4:3 video but made a 16:9 DVD. This would create the black bars on the right and left. Then when you play the DVD on a 4:3 TV the TV adds borders to the top and bottom to make the 16:9 frame fit on the 4:3 screen.

    The solution: make a 4:3 DVD instead.

    made the mistake when exporting from premier - fixing now. Thanks for the pointer.
