I have been using a standard (interlace) DV cam to capture television programmes, which I then convert into mpegs and/or vidcaps.
I've heard a lot lately about the advantages of using a progressive scan cam, especially for converting to mpegs etc.
My question, is would there be any advantage in upgrading to a progressive scan cam as I'm capturing from (presumably) an interlace source - or would it just capture in interlace?
I would like to avoid the problems with fast motion etc but am not 1000% sure that this would fix the problem?
thanks
Paul
