I have used WinAVI to convert a downloaded AVI, and burnt it to a DVD+R. It wont play in my stand alone DVD player but will play in the computer which I used to download it and burn it. It also will not play in my laptop computer which has its own DVD player. (I open the file up on the laptop and nothing is on the DVD) Anyone with suggestions or can help me?

    Thanks

  2. When you say it plays on the computer you downloaded and burnt it to, do you mean the avi file or the dvd+r disk? Does that PC show what is on the disk? What have you converted the AVI file to? How old is your stand alone DVD player, are you sure it plays dvd+r disks? As with the laptop. To play in a DVD player, the disk requires a properly authored dvd movie. ie. it needs a video_ts folder and perhaps an audio_ts also if it is an older player. The audio_ts folder is empty, but required to be present in some players. Some players will play a straight mpeg file off the disk. Hope this helps.
