Only hear sound if I use Nero Player how come.

I recently updated my Nero 7 ultimate. After doing so I am restricted from using any other player but nero.
it seems too only affect mpeg 2 video (no sound)

Does anyone know how to reverse this?

Right-click on a video file and select "Open With" then select another program.

I did a reinstall and things came back. I do not like it when software tries to push out the competition that way.It is sneaky.
