Hello, I am having trouble with ripping files from my DVD-ROM to my hardrive. Some of the discs can not be read when I try to play them and a message will come up with "Disc format unsuppoted". The software I have is POWERDVDxp. BTW my DVD players read them fine. Is this a problem witrh my Toshiba DVD-ROM or the POWERDVD software. Thanks for any info.

I don't know if this is related to your problem but when I first installed WinXP I couldn't use SmartRipper or DVD Decrypter. I found out after that WinXP didn't include the ASPI drivers.
Read the info below and installed the drivers and everything worked after.

Had the same problem but mine was cured by giving the drive a clean with a cd lens cleaner.By the way it was with power dvd as well but on win 98.
