Iīve got a problem with DVD2AVI.
Normaly DVD2AVI creates 2 files, one for the info about the Video, and one Soundstream, which is about one Gigabyte in size.
Since today this worked well.
But now my DVD2AVI just creates the movie info file and no audio file anymore.
Normaly the process iof creating the two files took about forty minutes, now it takes just three minutes and just the movie info file is created.
I didnīt change anything in the audio directory. The track is still set to one and Iīve set the 48->41,1 KHZ conversion to high.
Does anyone know what I could do to make the programm run properly again?
P.S.:
Sorry for the bad english, itīs not my main language.

Hm, Iīve just ripped another DVD and now it works...strange.
I guess I made a mistake with the other trhee ones, but I donīt know what I did wrong...
Now I have to rent them again:(
But I can hear sound when watchibg the vob files from the other DVDīs, how can that be? -
I was wondering what movies you were frame serving.
DVD2avi can't do the .dts audio, but if you selected the first track that would always be at minimum a .ac3 2 channel.
Also did you rip the entire movie to your hardrive or did you select just the main movie files and stream process them.
I have run across a couple of movies that you cannot do this with. You have to run dvd2avi on the complete, unadultered ripped main movie vobs. -
Hm, I hope I understood you correctly...
I always rip the complete main movie with all chapters at once.
This varies mostly from 4 to six VOB files.
These vob files, without any changings, are the ones I use with DVD2AVI
The three movies I ripped and which didnīt work were:
Event Horizon
Pitch Black
and Exit Wounds.
The movies I have and that worked without problems are:
American Psycho
Memento
Phantasm
Princess Mononoke
Kiss of the Dragon
Crying Freeman
Jeepers Creepers -
What did the statistics window say as with regards to the audio as you were saving the project? Did it identify the audio?
You did understand me correctly with regards to ripping the vobs.
This is a stumper.
My only guess would be is the ripping program missed an encryption key.
I've had what you are describing happen with a movie I was backing up, don't know what caused it exactly but I rebooted and it worked fine.
Good Luck! -
If you mean the statistics window in DVD2AVI, no it didnīt identifiy the audio.
Well, it must have been the fault of the ripping programm, guess I just try those DVDīs again and hope the best.
Thanks for your help:) -
I ripped the Special Feature - Journey to the Screen: Making Pearl Harbor.
With this I had to rip TRACK 2 to have sound.
If you want to make sure you have sound in the future, create about a 30sec or less Project file and play the stream in Media Player.
