I just wonder what happens to all the future 'warranty situations'?![]()
CompUSA said it would close its stores after the holidays following the sale of the company to an affiliate of Gordon Brothers Group, a restructuring firm. CompUSA operates 103 stores, which plan to run store-closing sales during the holidays.
Privately held CompUSA, controlled by Mexican financier Carlos Slim Helu's Grupo Carso, said discussions were under way to sell certain stores in key markets. Stores that can't be sold will be closed. Gordon Brothers will also try to sell the company's technical services business, CompUSA TechPro, and its online business, CompUSA.com. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

WOW! I hope they have a clearance sale on all items 50% off....

Drat.
Anybody know where else I could get these?

Before the store nearest to us closed, they sure didn't have a very good sale.
Even as it got closer to the countdown, many things were still at only 10% off.

So with the closing of COMPUSA the cost of buying a computer case will be very expensive. Just take a look at newegg.com and chose a computer case and type in this zip code 96817. You'll see how expensive the shipping cost will be.
I read a article in our local paper that stated the owner of COMPUSA will sell some of it's stores & close others so I'm hoping they'll find a buyer for the stores here in Hawaii. Maybe "FRY'S ELECTRONICS" could buy the stores here.Wishful thinking on my part!!!!!
