    how do I convert a VFR H64 MKV file to Xvid MKV? i want it in xvid so i can play it on my dvd player.

    Your player will probably only read it as a DivX/Xvid AVI, not as an MKV.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
