My head is spinning after going through the options available while choosing a DVD burner (I wonder why life can't be simpler!).
Anyway please recommend me a good dvd burner having the following criteria:
1. Burns without errors or with least errors.
2. Compatible with +R, -R. +RW, -RW, with CD Rs and with most brands of media. If this means paying a heavy price, a burner which can burn dvds that are compatible with most players and my player (lite-on DVR 5045) will be sufficient.
3. Speed does not matter. I rarely burn DVDs. My main purpose is reading. And that too occasionally.
4. Should be inexpensive (not sure what the price range is - is $0 to $50 too less to expect?).
5. Please recommend the best places (stores or online websites) to buy. Are there any thanksgiving deal coming up?
Thanks in advance.

1) will vary with media
2) most current models support all media types
3) speeds are similar for most models
4) less than $50 covers most current models
5) I shop mostly at newegg.com. Great customer support and good prices.
Current recommendations are Pioneer and Samsung. Though any of the name brands will work fine with similar results. It all boils down to brand preference and price.Google is your Friend -
