Is there away to get an AVI file that's out of sync back into sychronization. The video leads the audio at the beginning of the film by approximately one second.
At the end of the film - 1 hour and 8 minutes duration - the audio and video appear to be in sync. Is there any way to adjust this? I would appreciate any help.
    Thank you,

You could try demuxing the audio and then adding a second of blank audio to the beginning. You may then need to adjust the total time to match the length of the video.

This is all a matter of trial and error. Sync issues such as this where the sync is different through out the video often can't be fixed. But you may be able to get it close.

  3. If the video leads the audio he will need to remove ~1 second of audio from the start. Then adjust the length of the audio to stretch it 1 second longer.

There are many audio editor that have these abilities. Audacity is free, can extract audio from an AVI file, cut and stretch it, then save as WAV or MP3. You'll need a program like VirtualDubMod to mux the audio back into an AVI.

Of course, this assumes the audio slowly changes sync rather than starting out 1 second off then suddenly syncing up somewhere in the middle of the video.
