Suggestions on freeware to join audio file and video file when they're separated.
Once joined, what's the resulting format, AVI/MPEG?

I have VSCD2DVD to convert whatever file I get and get VIDEO_TS folder to finally burn DVD.

Lastly, once files are joined into a single file is there any "expected" audio sync issues or anything ?

    Thanks,

Use a muxing tool to create a mpg like the free tmpgenc under file->mpeg tools. Other muxers, https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/video-de-multiplexers

Or do you want a DVD from the mpa and mpg? Then use an authoring tool like the free dvdauthorgui to add the mpa and video.

You decide. Most audio video types can be muxed into an AVI format. To mux to mpg, the video has to be mpg video. The audio has some more limitations too.

I have SVC2DVD which will give me the resulting VIDEO_TS folder I need to burn with ImgBurn.

So, AVI file will be ok.

I really don't understand what you're trying to achieve here - Once you've run whatever it is thru SVCD2DVD, you burn the VIDEO_TS to disk with ImgBurn, yes, but what has that got to do with multiplexing different audio and video streams into different containers?

I apologize for the confusion. I guess I was trying to mention that my final intention was hopefully getting a VIDEO_TS folder (whihc I get with svc2dvd)

So, going to original question, yes, I am just trying to find out what I need to do to "join" separated audio and video files, I think the question has been answered above, thanks.
