I'm using DGIndex to rip a DVD (there is no protection on the DVD).
The results are a d2v file, however no .wav audio track. I have been using this same method to rip several DVDs that have been supplied to me.
When I go to open the DVD I have the following files:
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_02_0.VOB
VTS_02_1.VOB
VTS_02_2.VOB
VTS_02_3.VOB
VTS_02_4.VOB
The meat of the DVD are these files:
VTS_02_1.VOB
VTS_02_2.VOB
VTS_02_3.VOB
VTS_02_4.VOB
Those are the ones I'm opening in DGIndex and then I choose:
Audio -> Output Method -> Decode AC3 track to WAV
Under Audio Select Tracks I only have Track 1 selected.
Any ideas or suggestions as to why I'm not getting a WAV after I save my project?
(I have double checked and played back the DVD and there is an audio track during regular DVD playback)
Thanks

Are you by any chance saving by using "Save Project and Demux Video"?...if thats the case use "Save Project" instead.....
" Who needs Google, my wife knows everything" -
I am using Save Project.
I also did not find the wav file in the folder where I saved the d2v.
I have been working with several DVDs - I'm familiar with the process - but this one DVD in particular isn't producing a wav file in the same folder as the d2v file. -
So you are saying if the DVD's audio format isn't in AC3 then I won't get a wav file when I save the project?
I'm guessing I can use BeLight to save my DVD VOB as a wav file? -
Yes,that's what I'm saying...
Just save using Demux all tracks, and use beLight or similar proggy to convert to wav,if wav file is what you want....
You could also save wav by using VirtualDubMod on your VOB.....
Or try with Super for VOB to wav audio only, works good.... there are "different ways to skin a cat'...." Who needs Google, my wife knows everything" -
Thanks for your help tOnee1. I'll give that a try.

FYI - I chose the option to "demux all tracks" and it made a wav file that worked fine for me. Hmmm....

Hmmm is right, should have tried that option then....glad it worked fine for you....

You sure? He originally selected to decode AC3 to WAV, and since there was no AC3 there was nothing to decode, and no audio showed up. He could have saved himself some trouble, and the necessity of opening this thread, by running the Preview (File->Preview) to find the audio was already WAV audio.

I'll remember to try Preview next time. Thanks.
