Sonic won't recognize DVD, computer does ...

I put in a Fuji DVD-R x16 disc to burn it in Sonic Digital Media Plus and it refuses to recognize it. The computer itself does, shows up in My Computer and plays fine. Other discs work fine in Sonic.

So any tips on getting it to recognize it?

FUJI DVD-R 16x media is probably RITEK media which is crap media. Use VERBATIM or TAIYO YUDEN media.

It isn't a matter of getting the player to recognize it, it is more a matter of getting and using media that the player supports. This is typical of all standalone players.

As noted above, Verbatim and TY are the most reliable. Other brands and types are a matter of trial and error.
