I've got to admit, I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of choices there are these days in electronics.

My craptacular Go Video DVD/VCR deck finally died this past summer, and I have been meaning to upgrade but haven't had the time. I tried to do some research, but every machine I look at has some bad reviews or so it seems, so I have decided to come here for help.

Here is what I'm looking for to go with the Samsung TX-T3093WH that I picked up this summer.

I'm trying to find a decent/good DVD Recorder with upscaling/VCR for under $200. Or preferably under $150 dollars if such a machine exists. This is really only meant to last me a year or two, so I don't need anything super fancy. On the flip side, I'd rather not pick up a piece of junk. Just something in the middle. Reliable.

    Any suggestions?

  2. If you do not mind a used unit, many brand name, 2006 model year dvd/vcr combos are selling on eBay for less than $150. Here is an example,

Returns are allowed if there is a problem per their policy at the bottom of the page.
