Just formatted hard drive, and all of my videos are now kinda blurry. They are not as crisp as they once were. Im sure its just a codec, but im not for certain. Any ideas on this? I had to installed a divx codec from divx.com to get it to working to how it is now. I have checked video/graphics card settings, thats not it Thanks!

    EDIT: These are AVI files

Are they crisp if you try play with VLC Media Player? VLC has a builtin divx decoder so if it's still blurry if you play with VLC it something else.

You don't say you have checked for updated drivers for current gpu , and if available , installed ... check these first .

In some situations , it is possible an older driver package release may give better results than the latest release for the current hardware .

It sounds like a video overlay / hardware acceleration issue if it's just the video that is blurry. Check for new video drivers or check the display advanced settings for video/overlay settings.
