    I captured some old home movie footage from VHS using an ATI AIW 9800 Pro. The capture was to .avi using Huffyuv. The video looks good on the computer that did the capture but when played back on other computers the video is scrambled.

    What could be going on here?

    Drop it into Gspot 2.70 and see what codec is used to play it back. I suspect you may need the HuffyUV codec on the playback computer.

    I've done that. Huffyuv was neccessary on the other computers. Without it I got good audio but no video at all. Once installed, I could see the video but it was badly scrambled.

    Scrambled how? Can you grab a frame and post it as a sample?

    I'll try to get a sample posted. In the meantime, by scrambled I mean that it looks somewhat like a scrambled satellite signal - I can tell generally what's in the video but its all distorted and screwed up.
