Read somewhere that the RCA DRC247N leaves the 2X, 4X, etc. on in the middle of the screen during zoom playback and doesn't go away. Anyone confirm this? Didn't want to open the box (even for $20) if this is the case. Read all the reviews I could find, but no one mentioned anything about the zoom.

Yes that is true about the zoom feature. It stays there.
