I just recorded a video of my friends last week on my sony digital photo camera that was captured in 640x480. However, half of my friend was cut off on the right side of the video. Is there a way to convert the video and change the frame size in order to get his whole body in the video? Can I convert the video to a different resolution to stretch the screen? Any help will be very appreciated!

    Thanks

So you want to stretch the video to include things you didn't get in the video when you shot it ? I bet hollywood would love a camera that could do that. Imagine the number of re-takes it would cut down on if you could just re-frame after the fact and get the things you missed.

Don't they do it all the time in CSI?

But seriously, if the OP is saying his friend is fully visible when viewing the video on the computer, but cut off by overscan when watching on TV, then yes, he can add a black border around the edges of the frame. Then the black border will fall in the overscan region.
