When I try to watch a video of a CBS show on my computer it will play for about 10 seconds then pause while buffering for about 5 seconds and then repeat the whole process for the entire show. I have all of the latest updates for Windows Media Player 11 and for XP. I can stop all but the bare minimum processes and it still pauses while buffering. I have tried everything I know so can someone give me any ideas on how to watch a show without all the pauses? By the way this happens in Internet Explorer or Firefox with either W2K or XP.
I'd rather be fishing at Roaring River, Mo.

Are you watching on the CBS site? They use Real Media. You should be able to adjust the buffer settings in the codec. I'm using Real Alternative, and it allows setting the buffer from 30 to 120 seconds.

Buffering is used to delay playback until enough data has been downloaded to allow proper playback. If it is continously buffering, you are having internet connection issues or the server you are downloading from is having issues.
