  1. I just converted a small wmv file to DVD using the trial version of convertxtodvd. I wanted to see the quality of the it but when it was finished converting it opened up the burning window. I hit cancel but now I cannot find where the output folder is. I assume it didn't just erase it because I didn't burn it. I checked the program folder in program files, I checked the folder that the original file was in, and I checked the temp directories but could not find it. Any clues?

Any recommendations for WMV to DVD software?

It should be under docs and settings/your username/application data/VSO by default, but you can confirm this by opening ConvertxtoDVD and clicking on Settings -> General and looking at the Working Folder :

You can also turn off automatic burning on the Burning tab.

As for good WMV to DVD software : ConvertXtoDVD is as good as, if not better than anything else. You might look at FAVC and DVD Flick. I like FAVC, and the quality is very good (assuming, of course that the source is very good), but I don't use it for WMV so I don't know how well it handles the format.

  3. Thanks. I'll look at FAVC and DVD Flick, too.
