    Hi,

Trying to rip some episodes from an original dvd to my harddisk with as little loss of quality as possible.
Using dvdfab set to dvd9 (it says 100%) I've ripped an episode to vobfiles.
After that I used vob2mpg to covert the vobfiles to mpeg.
Is this rip to be considered lossless or did I loose some quality?

Ripit4me in Movie only mode if you don't need the menus.

DVD Decrypter in ISO mode, then mount the image with Alcohol or Daemon Tools = FULL Lossless Mode.

DVDFab may have stripped the region code - if you told it to. Otherwise, your's should be reasonably lossless.

    ISO rips = full disc.

To actually answer your question specifically, no, you did not lose any quality.

Only if you convert it to another format or compress it down will you lose any quality.
