Hi all,
I need your help about the following issue:
Sony HDR-HC3 camera (which I own one) has a splendid picture, as some of you certainly know or heard about. But when I shot some situation where a white object eventually appears (be it a white wall or a person dressed in white, for instance), the picture drastically gets dark. As soon as those white objects disappear from the camera objective, the picture turns clear and nice again.
So, my question is: which is the trick to avoid this situation? Is there any option on the camera menu for that?
I’d appreciate your help/reply!
Thanks in advance,
Mário

That's how auto iris/auto gain control work (they try to keep constant average/peak levels in picture), maybe it's possible in your camera to turn it off on critical scenes.
