  1. I bought this player 'Dual DVD858' from asda (uk) for my neice for crimbo, i also got her finding nemo (region 1) Does any one know if this player can be made multi region???

    i have checked on this site for it & have had no luck

  2. I also got the Dual (Schneider) DVD858 from asda after my pacific 1001 died and cant find anything about making this model region free But THIS new dual dvd858 is far superior to the pacific as it doesnt have the problems i encountered with DVD-R backups well worth the little extra £££'s
    Any help with the region free would be great & thxs
    It appears that the CPU was operating so fast that it began to execute instructions before they arrived. This execution of future instructions created a small tear in space-time itself through which part of the cpu passed into a parallel universe

  3. Found this over at http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/hackable.asp?Page=12 but cant get the dual 858 region free any ideas where im going wrong

    1 open/close , no disc - tray closed
    2 press clear
    3 input 1 3 6 9

    nothing happening

    then it should be " press 0 for region free "

    doesnt appear to reconise im pressing any buttons on the remote , any help or pointers would be great and thxs

    Hi - I don't know if you're still waiting for a solution on this - it has been 4 years.....

    I like you tried following the instructions to the letter without joy. So I thought I'd try a few variations..

    To cut a long story short.....IT WORKED

    However I did it by:
    a) having the DVD drawer open
    b) pressing CLEAR again after the region code (0)
    c) then closing the drawer

    I don't know which one of these actually made the difference...
