AVI --> ??? (For Web Streaming)

I was just wondering what is the best type of file I should convert this 4GB AVI file I captured from my Sony Cam using ATI Capture Card into (the clip is only 20 mins long, but 4GBs, so I believe this is MPEG2 format or something)... I am looking to publish it on the net (streaming) so visitors to my site can check it out... now, should I use RealVideo format, WMA, QuickTime, what framerate/settings will guarantee me a good quality & smooth picture and decent sound, and what software do you recommend for this?

I recommend choosing .asf file format, it's gives the best video quality and decreases the size of an .avi by more than 1/4 using the high quality 512k template (one of the default ones) in Sonic FoundryStreamAnywhere... I posted this program here and some useful 'help' files...

Use hjsplit to join files named .001 to .003

I would never subject someone to Realmedia... shite quality, no one could ever edit it.... wmv is good because it compresses avi files a bit smaller than asf, but the video always seems to be blocky/blurry during motion... the .asf 250k template is good too
