ok, I have a windows machine that i installed iis. I created web folders (default) and can access them over the internet. the problem is that i can't stream my movies without embedding html (which i have tried unsuccessfully). I did finally figure out i had to install a mozilla plugin to generically stream in google chrome, but no controls and very slow streaming. I tried to put a .m3u playlist file into my shared folder, created from vlc, and it will play locally but not remote (this is the method i would prefer). I assuming its because the .m3u file is pointing to local files and when a remote computer tries to access the file tries to play the video from THAT local machine, and can't.

I became so frustrated i decided to try and stream only using the vlc 1.1.1 (newest) with html interface. And once again i had no or little success.

So, what am I doing wrong here. How can I create a playlist using the vlc player (either in my website or not) for remote streaming????? thanks

Chris
