    I have a .avi file that i want to convert to a dvd, but i need to overwrite the subtitles that are already in the movie. The movie is in Japanese but has Spanish subs i am trying to replace them with English subs. if anyone can help me that would be great thank you in advance.

    if the subs are hardcoded into the avi you are out of luck. they are permanent.
