    ran into this problem using subrip and wondering if anyone knows of a workaround.

    You'll need to update your Subrip. An "extend selection" capability was added in version 1.20b. The pictures below are from the latest 1.50b4.

    To use the "extend selection" feature, see below. Just click the circled box twice to enclose all of the %.

    Oh... so 1.50b4 is the latest? But I have actually tried it and this is how they are appearing.

    A guy called roli_bark posted this same problem over at Doom9 a while back. With ai4spam's help he was able to fix it. Here's the link:

    The screenshot of his problem is no longer on the page, but I remember that it looked exactly like what you are getting.
