I took some photos at a dinner party which I loaded on to my laptop (Dell Inspiron) and copied to DVD+R discs to give away.
After making some copies I saw that I should have run them again to 'make compatable'
    Questions:
    1) Will the discs that were not made compatable play only on the computer that made them?
    2) Will the discs that were made compatable play on any PC? - What about AppleMac system?
    3) Can the discs be made play on a DVD player through the TV? My Panasonic shows "No disc".
I hope that these questions are not regarded as too simple to answer. I am a bit new to this and I think that some 30 people have got discs that do not play

    Thank You

If you just burned them as data then they be readable in any PC, including Macs (baring the standard small % of compatibility issues with any DVD-Rs) and on any standalone player that plays jpgs from discs of that format.

    There is no 100% solution.

Not all PC drives will read all burned DVDs.
Not all players will read all burned DVDs.
Not all players will read jpgs from DVD-Rs. Some will only read them from CDs.

How did you burn them ? What software did you use ?

Personally, I use Imgburn for all DVD burning and all CD burning except Audio CDs.

    Thanks for reply -
    They were all jpg form.
I just used the Microsoft 'Copy to' button. - copied to DVD+R which had to be formated first.
It looks as if I will just have to wait and see who writes to say 'Thank You'
    I will check out Imgburn
