Howdy all,
I recently received an XviD clip that displays in 4:3 when played back in any player that I have tried but obviously was originally in 16:9. When I change the aspect ratio in MPC it looks like the proper dimension. It is not that it appears as letterboxed in a small window but is squished horizontally.
Is there an easy way to add the 16:9 flag to the file? I can obviously fix it during playback on the computer but would like to play properly on my set top DVD player.
Any help or directions to an existing guide would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

You can use MPEG4 Modifier. But I'm not sure if it works on standalone dvd players....then you have reconvert the video.

Yes, some players look at the AR flag, some always assume square pixels in AVI.
