I have a DVP3960 and I really like it. The upconverted picture is great! But I've come to notice that the picture is not really centered. But when it's 1080i, it's not. I can tell this by doing zoom until it gets to be a negative zoom. When it's paused and the entire picture is there at -1.5, you can see that it looks like the right side of the picture has more than is being shown when it's not zoomed out.
Also, when you are watching credits or even putting on the system menu, it's not centered. If you switch to 480p as your resolution setting then it appears to be centered. Is this a bad unit? Or do they all behave this way?
Maybe I should also mention that I am running this through a HDMI to DVI cable. Not sure if this also could have any impact.
