OK, I'm just looking for some reassurance...
Earlier today, I was decided to play some MP3s off my Philips. As the MP3s played off my DVD, they sounded horrible. It was almost like there was some problem with the sample rates or something. Pitch seemed slightly off, crackly noises, etc etc. I tried some other songs with the same results.
I recalled setting the "CD Re-sampling" to 88.2kHz(2x), or something like that. I switched this back, reset the player, and all seems well. What bugs me, though, is I wasn't playing a CD, these were MP3s off a DVD... So, was this some fluke I should worry about, or just me being stupid with the settings.
This is not the first time I've played MP3s off the player. I can't remember exactly when I set the CD-Sampling to 2x...if it was the previous time I used it or what.
