I've just purchased my first spindles of TYGO2s, and have burned just a few discs. The results look fine, to view. (I seldom attempt any scans, since the Pioneer burners don't seem well recommended for this, and maybe not the LiteOns, either.) My question is this: when these discs are spinning in the standalone DVDR, I hear a slight chatter -- as if they were not perfectly flat, or something like that. But there is nothing apparent to the naked eye. (I guess I should next try some burns in the computer, to see if that remains consistent.) The various Verbs, Fujis, MIJ Sonys, and other blanks I've bought from retail outlets like Best Buy have all pretty much spun dead quiet. Might I have some problem here with this batch of TYs ?
If you're about to lay that riff on me about fake TYs, these were from one of the most trusted online dealers . . . .
