I need to capture a video off of Yahoo Music Videos. I tried video downloading sites but apparently none of them work with Yahoo Music Videos. I am not trying to do anything illegal, like redistribute it for money. I just want to upload it to youtube so it's easier to view.
    Ok basic question..

How do you capture (what program) HQ yahoo music videos?

Which part of upload it to youtube doesn't constitute redistributing ?

Anyway, all the videos I saw had a Save Video button, which I assume, saves the video. Of course, you have to be a Yahoo member to do this, and I have no interest in signing up just to test a theory.

Do you have a specific example ?

Go down to what I said in the post and try it .

    ----

Back again after some trials ... stupid yahoo music video server keeps stuffing about which holds things up .

    Anyway ...

Dissable hardware acceleration on video device for the time it takes to complete required task .

Grab camstudio , and there screen recording codec .
Install both , run camstudio .
Options > video > set to require fps (adjust lower slider till fps show in upper box) > and sellect camstudio codec as compressor choice .
    Quality to 95 ...
Go to morons at yahoo ... the music vid section .
Click required link to activate new window .

Camstudio > region to region , bang big red button to kick off recording .
    Mouse changes icon .
Move mouse to upper left region of player view , hold left mouse button down , and drag to lower right of same panel .

    And away you go .

When done , bring canstudio app to front , and hit the big blue button to stop recording .
It will now ask where to save recording to .
After file writen it will open the player window so you can view the recording .

    Reset video hardware acceleration .

    Done .
