    Hello all,
    My problem this,
I am in Iraq and my wife sent me a video she recorded, the problem is it only put 30 minutes on a 60 minute tape and now when i try to play back or capture it does so very slow, and blocky.
I am trying to figure out if there is a way to capture it at the same rate she recorded it.
any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Kyle

  4. The number of minutes on the tape should not be a problem.

What type of tape and camera, DV, VHS, Digital8, etc.?

Keep your head down and watch your 6, good luck over there.

Remember when the terrorists had floor plans for US schools? My child attends one of those. Godspeed, and many thanks.

    They are both MiniDV cameras,
let me clarify, she recorded on a 60 minute tape with her camera, but told me that she could only fit 30 minutes on it. which basically means that when i try to play it back or capture it on my camera it plays back extremely slow slow and blocky. I was hoping i would be able to capture it and then double the speed, but it captures it just as blocky as when it plays back.
Thanks for any help anyone can give

Did she use a DVCpro cam that runs quicker than miniDV and would use about half the tape!

No, she used the same camera we have had for a few years, and it always recorded 60 minutes and a 60 minute tape, thats why i though it was so strange when she told me she could only fit 30 minutes on it.
