VCD burning with LiteOn ?????

Hi,

Please help. I hear/read several messages about burning a VCD with nero and Easy CD with a LiteOn. It is not possible to write a VCD??

Do more have this problem?
I read the LiteOn 24/10/40 has much problems with VCD and some other said they have a 16/10/40 and it is no problem.

I ordered a 16/10/40 so I hope this is not a bad choice.
(btw I have a Hp 8100i now)

Rubbish!, I burn VCD's and SVCD's with Nero, with excellent results
whilst using a Pioneer 344 DVD player.

I use DivX 1.7.

I've been using my Lite-On 24102B (24x) burner to make VCD's with Nero for months now. I've done 100's and all perfect !

For those of you that burn with nero onto the liteon 24/10/40....... What's the secret ? I've been trying every possible combination of settings and have been rapidly going through the range of different discs available.... all to no avail. Except one..... The only one that has worked so far on my dvd player (Samsung909) has been the CD-R that came with the Liteon !

Any suggestions/screen shots of correct settings or advice on how to get the burn speed below 4x ? (someone on the dvd compatibility page said that if u burn at 1x, the samsung has no problems)

Any help .... much appreciated.....
