I have a few DVD+R's that I enjoy playing on my Samsung HT-P38 and find that they skip or start and stop or pixelate at LEAST once during the movie. Last night it got even worse skipping or having trouble playing at least 15 times. I'm using Sony DVD+R 16x and burning at 4x or 6x depending how I'm feeling that day. Now I've watched the same DVD+R's on my $40, 6 year old dvd player, and other dvd players like my portable and they play flawlessly. I often wonder if those DVD lens cleaning kits actually work or if they would work in this case.
I use DVDshrink and DVDFab to rip my backups.
Does anyone know anything that I can do to stop the stop/starting/skipping of my dvd+r's?
Thanks
Dan

Typically, playback issues such as these are media related. Try a different brand/type of media.
You can also look up your player in the DVD Players section and see what media others may have had success using.Google is your Friend -
Unfortunately there's no different media listed for my dvd player so I guess I'm up shit's creek. I'm picking up a dvd lens cleaner today so I'll see if that works. So if anyone has anyother tips or suggestions please let me know OR I'm up for DVD media suggestions. Thanks.
