According to the dvd players compatibility list......this play can play dvd-r. I have had no success at it working. I have tried Memorex and Pioneer dvd-r and they wont work on my JVC XV-523, but they will work on my APEX player. Has anyone been able to play dvd-r's on the JVC? or know of a hack to make it work correctly?
