I realized when installing my new pioneer 212 into my older dell dimension 2350 that I dont have SATA cables int here, only IDE connecting to my old drives! Is there a converter of some sort available, and will it dramatically reduce my burning speed? Should I just return the drive or get a converter from IDE to SATA? Also, the power cable pins are different, instead of 4 larger pins like my old drives in the computer, this one looks as it needs some kind of connector with 8 smaller pins, is that another converter that I need to buy??

There are PCI to SATA -2 cards available in stores. Just stick in your PCI slot and you have SATA connection.

    Drum, drum, diferent drummer.

I would exchange the drive for an IDE and not buy and screw around with converters.
