lord of the rings 2001 ripping

i have just downloaded the lord of the rings 2001 version of the net and it plays fine in windows media player the film is avi and the audio format is in mpeg-layer 3 whatever that is.

can someone tell me in plain english how to burn this to a dvd-r/rw is i have no idea
i have a pioneer a03 burner and my pc is a p4 1.8g and have 768 meg of ram

Use TMPGEnc, to encode it to DVD Format. By the way, please send me a private message telling me where did you get it.

You ned to install the divx codec (tmd)codec or whatever codec is needed for that movie, that way tmpgenc will be able to open the file.

And trust me this is the best way to make VCD out of Divx.

The divx you have was made from a vcd or svcd. And now your trying to convert it back to vcd or svcd?
